Requirements for audition:
- One prepared piece in English (oratorio or art song preferred, no arias please)
- Sight reading will be performed in German
About the Cantata Singers:
- Under the direction of David Hoose, this critically acclaimed 44-voice chorus will perform a four-program series in New England Conservatory’s Jordan Hall and First Church in Cambridge.
- The Cantata Singers’ 47th season centers on the works of Ralph Vaughan Williams.
- Paid opportunities include solos roles, teaching/performing in Cantata Singers’ “Classroom Cantatas” in-school music composition and performance program, as well as touring possibilities of shows connected to the education program.
- Rehearsals are generally on Wednesday nights in Brookline.
